About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Audit Services.
What You'll Do
- →The incumbent of this position serves as the Assistant Regional Inspector General for Audit.
- →Major duties for this position include but are not limited to: Serving as a Supervisory Auditor (Audit Manager) and is responsible for the conduct of comprehensive audits of Departmental programs, such as those managed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
- →Planning, directing and coordinating the audit segment of the IG annual work plan within the region.
- →Providing line management for the provision of audit services for assigned management and program activities of the Department within the geographic area.
- →The incumbent also plans and coordinates audits of programs and contracts funded by other Federal departments and agencies.
- →Serving as a contact point for advice and assistance on audit matters including programs of other Federal departments and agencies where HHS has audit cognizance.
- →Assuring audit guides were followed, working papers adequately support findings and conclusions and provide sufficient data to prepare a meaningful report, and that the audit objectives are met.
- →Incumbent is responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the special and recurring reports required of an ARIGA.
