About the Role
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Research Services. The incumbent is responsible for setting accessioning priorities and identifying, planning, and implementing archival projects pertaining to textual and special media records in the custody of A2 Analog Records Division.
What You'll Do
- →As a SUPERVISORY ARCHIVIST, you will: Provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit, particularly through collaborative efforts.
- →Participate in planning the work of the unit, including formulating goals and objectives and identifying opportunities in methods, workflow, and procedures.
- →Contribute to the development of new practices and standards.
- →Advise and inform others on policies and procedures relating to work of the branch.
- →Analyze training needs at the team and branch levels in order to identify or develop appropriate training.
- →Initiate, establish, and maintain professional relationships with archivists, archives specialists, technicians, conservators, and other specialists in order to share resources and information and coordinate workflow within the unit, division, program, office, and agency.
Requirements
- ✓The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
- ✓One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

- ✓A probationary or trial period may be required.
- ✓Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period.
- ✓A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
- ✓Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- ✓If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form i-9.
- ✓Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
- ✓Designated and/or Random Drug Testing may be required.
