About the Role
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, The incumbent of this position is located within the Office of Research Services, Digitization Division, serving as a first line supervisor. As such, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in the planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling of the internal and partnership digitization activities of the employees assigned.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Archivist, you will: Ensure and manage the active participation of the staff in digitization projects and other archival assignments.
- →Assist in implementing the Digitization Division's program for digitizing and providing public access to federal and donated records.
- →Provide supervisory oversight and project management for the archival staff and collaborate with other supervisors throughout the Digitization Division.
- →Establish and monitor with the Branch Chief and other Unit managers, digitization priorities and work plans for the unit.
Requirements
- ✓A probationary or trial period may be required.
- ✓Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period.
- ✓A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
- ✓Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- ✓If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form i-9.
- ✓Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
