What You'll Do
- →Plans and directs accounting operation for Federal Prison Industries, Inc.
- →(FPI) with accounting offices at approximately 65 diverse locations throughout the United States by providing technical assistance, expertise and efficient operating procedures to assure accurate and timely accounting information.
- →Analyzes and evaluates the financial management systems to determine compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and ensures that they meet the administrative needs of the Corporation.
- →Prepares monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular 94-01, as well as special internal and external reports to reflect the status of FPI programs to plan and forecast future operations.
- →Keeps abreast of new accounting systems being developed in order to recommend changes and modifications required based on professional and practical experience.
- →Maintains contact with representatives from General Accounting Office (GAO), OMB, Department of Justice (DOJ) and Treasury to keep them apprised of FPI accounting operations and assures that FPI's reporting requirements are being met in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements

- ✓Submit the appropriate documentation to support your CTAP or ICTAP eligibility: A copy of the agency notice (i.e., separation notice or agency RIF letter), Most recent performance appraisal, and Most recent SF-50 showing current/former position, grade, promotion potential, and duty location.
