About the Role
This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Financial Management Division (FC), Office of Finance, Accounts Payable Section. This position(s) primary purpose is to provide DEA-wide professional accounting and financial management services, management advice, and assistance.
What You'll Do
- →As a your typical work assignments may include: Oversees and manages work operations for staff accountants and analysts by developing strategic goals and objectives necessary to track, monitor, and account for financial resources throughout the agency.
- →Develops program policies, procedures, and evaluation methods to foster continuous improvement practices for DEA.
- →Develops recommendations for improving fiscal management and achieving efficiencies for implementation across DEA.
- →Ensures that accounting procedures are compatible with policy and working properly in the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS) and related reporting systems; certifies that accounting systems capture required transactional data; and evaluates systems reporting capabilities to determine if they are effective in providing information necessary for financial planning, programming, and analysis.
