This position is in the Bureau of the Comptroller and Global Financial Services (CGFS), Global Financial Operations Directorate (GFO), Office of System Controls and Coordination (SCC) in Charleston, South Carolina. Serve as an expert professional Supervisory Accountant within the Office of System Controls and Configuration.
What You'll Do
- →Maintains accounting processes, financial systems, interfaces, and internal controls to comply with legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements.Addresses OIG and Independent Financial Auditor inquiries, findings, and recommendations for improve.
- →Examines, monitors, tracks, and reconcile financial and accounting transactions, including disbursements, collections, foreign currency payments, and budgetary data, to ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting in applicable financial systems.
- →Direct and oversees special accounting projects, providing expert advice and corrective recommendations to resolve accounting discrepancies, financial issues, and operational deficiencies identified through audits and oversight activities.
- →Executes a full range of supervisory and managerial duties, including establishing operational priorities, allocating resources, delegating authority, assessing risks, and implementing continuous improvement and risk mitigation strategies.
