About the Role
You will serve as a Supervisor in the Installation Planning & Execution division, Logistics and Life Cycle Engineering department of NIWC ATLANTIC.
What You'll Do
- →You will be responsible for leading, managing, and developing a technical workforce, providing oversight of workforce development, and offering policy, process, and implementation guidance.
- →You will support the installation of C4ISR and Information Technology (IT) systems on afloat or ashore platforms.
- →You will work with senior leadership to plan and manage technical and facilities requirements, forecast and allocate human resources, and ensure compliance with applicable processes and policies.
- →You will set employees' performance expectations and evaluate employee contributions.
- →You will approve leave and travel recommendations, establish training plans, and provide technical and career advice.
- →You will recommend awards and promotions.
- →You will resolve work problems and enforce policy and guidelines for employees.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
