This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Temp/Term Appointment Authority to Meet Critical Hiring Needs to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a military technician position with the 99t Readiness Division, Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) 8 at Schenectady, New York.
What You'll Do
- →Repair small weapons by replacing obsolete parts and/or assembles.
- →Analyze unit deficiencies to determine required organizational training.
- →Use hand tools to make repairs and adjustments.
- →List repairs on appropriate forms to indicate needed repairs.
- →Performs two level Preventative Maintenance Checks and Service (PMCS) to include periodic gauging.
