This position is part of the Department of War. Serves as Security Cooperation (SC) Program Specialist, supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and as applicable Foreign Military Financing (FMF), Building Partnership Capacity (BPC), and Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA) Program Manager for the U.S. Embassy Security Cooperation Organization.
What You'll Do
- →As a SECURITY COOPERATION (SC) PROGRAM SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties: Providing the principles, concepts, and methodologies associated with project management, as well as analytical skills with a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods.
- →Understanding of U.S. acquisition laws and practices, U.S. technological, economic, political, and industrial/production implications, and methodologies for the initiation and establishment of agreements for production, procurement, and logistical support.
- →Maintains skills in written and verbal interpersonal communications and negotiation techniques, sufficient to develop and deliver briefings, project papers, staff reports, and correspondence.
- →Familiarity of FMS and as applicable FMF and BPC and security assistance policy and procedures, with particular emphasis on sustainment of systems and capabilities (e.g., the Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM, DoD 5105.38-M).
- →Identifies, plans, organizes, and directs team studies, sufficient to plan integrated analytical evaluations of customers, sectors, technology, and industrial bases, select and develop coverage areas, and plan and coordinate team efforts.
