About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the principal office assistant performing various administrative & clerical duties in support of the commander & their staff. There is a system of formal internal procedures controls, form coordination among internal & external units, & reporting requirements, which is sufficiently complex to require continuous attention on the part of the secretary.
What You'll Do
- →Provides a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring personal and executive correspondence, reports, and other documents from information obtained from the staff, files, and other sources.
- →Reviews and processes incoming and outgoing correspondence, reports, and other materials submitted for the Commander's signature.
- →Receives telephone calls, greets visitors and ascertains the nature of the calls or visits, screening those that can be handled without supervisor's help.
- →Maintains Commander's calendar, coordinates meeting arrangements, and schedules meetings.
- →Independently notes and follows up on commitments made at meetings by staff members.
- →Performs other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization.

- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS.
