What You'll Do
- →NONAPPROPRIATED FUND POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Operations Associate BUSINESS TITLE: Retail Shift Operator FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt JOB SERIES: 1101 PAY LEVEL: NF-02 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assumes full responsibility for retail operations of the facility in absence of the managers.
- →Requisitions merchandise and ensures maintenance of adequate stock levels, proper display, price marketing, and sales merchandise.
- →Advises on improvements to display stocking, pricing and inventory of merchandise.
- →Maintains appropriate documents pertaining to security of cash, fixed assets and merchandise inventory.
- →Maintains combination to change safe and issues change funds.
- →Reviews and directs the work of employees who are engaged in the sorting, marking, pricing, and display of merchandise, keeping records thereof.
- →Prepares appropriate reports concerning sales activities, incidents and significant occurrences during tour of duty.
- →Conducts inventories as required.
- →Assigns and directs work of associates in the immediate shift.
- →Ensures that fire, safety and security conditions are maintained for the facility assigned.
- →Applies technical product knowledge required to set-up, assemble, display, demonstrate and sell SCUBA merchandise.
- →Assists customers by providing in-depth knowledge of the products and answering technical questions.
- →Explains product features, benefits, and differences, to satisfy customer needs.
- →Questions customers to establish preferences and utilizes suggestive selling techniques as appropriate.
