What You'll Do

  • NONAPPROPRIATED FUND POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Food and Beverage Manager BUSINESS TITLE: Restaurant Manager FLSA: Exempt JOB SERIES: 1101 PAY LEVEL: NF-03 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the assigned restaurant.
  • The Restaurant Manager interfaces with the Executive Chef and the Club Manager to provide the highest quality of sales and service to patrons.
  • Manages and oversees food/bar operations in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Makes all reservations, coordinates with kitchen staff, plans menus, draws up room layouts, writes seating charts and receives appropriate form of payments.
  • Manages the front of the house wait/waitress staff and insures 100% guest satisfaction.
  • Helps with keeping food cost of goods at an acceptable level and is professional, prompt and responsive to all guest enquiries and looks to promote sales at every possible avenue.
  • Ensures that special event logistical requirements such as the acquisition of supplies, decorations, specialized equipment and personnel are sufficient.
  • Performs supervisory functions for wait staff, kitchen staff and bartenders.
  • Prepares work schedules and makes work assignments; distribute work load, provide on-the job trainings.
  • Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.
  • Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.
  • Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact.
  • Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems.
  • Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services.
