The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a full-time Registered Nurse to serve as Nurse Manager under Patient Care Services within Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Interventional Radiology, Perioperative Nursing Service.
What You'll Do
- →The Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager duties include but are not limited to: Functions as a clinical expert, is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Interventional Radiology in Patient Care Services.
- →Collaborates with various leaders across the clinical services for allocation of resources, effective scheduling, and creating innovative process improvement initiatives.
- →Provides oversight of staff delivering direct care services, customer satisfaction, while supporting the Medical Center and Service missions.
- →Applies expertise to lead service specific and/or global initiatives.
- →Meets critical deadlines, demonstrated outcomes, and attention to detail.
- →Demonstrates commitment to positive practice practice environment through effective communication, professional behaviors, and leadership.
- →Financial Disclosure Report: Not required.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
