About the Role
This Registered Nurse, Emergency Department position, is within the Nursing Service at the West Roxbury campus. This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week.
What You'll Do
- →Incumbent works under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
- →Incumbent is accountable for the delivery of care to patients with a variety of physical needs.
- →Utilizes the nursing process in managing, developing, implementing and evaluating the patient's individual plan of care with the interdisciplinary team.
- →Administers medications and documents treatments and patient care utilizing CPRS.
- →Maintains a safe and dignified environment.
- →Work Schedule: 11:30a.m. - 8:00p.m., Monday-Friday and holidays Compressed/Flexible: Not Available Telework: Not available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
- →Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not authorized Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not authorized Notifications: This position is in the Excepted Service.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
