The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse-Assistant Chief Nurse within Psychiatry Service. This leadership position supports the coordination, supervision, and delivery of high-quality nursing care across the organization.

- →The Registered Nurse-Assistant Chief duties include but are not limited: Execute leadership characterized by substantial and continuous responsibility and accountability for a population group or an integrated program that crosses service and discipline lines, influences the organizational mission and healthcare delivery, and drives responsibility for outcome achievement.
- →Ensure administrative guidance and support while providing oversight for the delivery of nursing care and the management of nursing personnel and clinical resources.
- →Influence care outcomes by collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
- →Provide coordination and accountability for all regulatory and environmental surveys and adhere to mandatory response timelines.
- →Demonstrate knowledge of and active participation in unit- and program-level quality improvement processes, related initiatives, and customer service programs.
- →Execute position responsibilities that demonstrate strong leadership, extensive experience, and innovative approaches to managing complex client care.
- →Telework: Ad-hoc telework schedule may be available per agency directive.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓This position is subject to random drug testing in accordance with agency policy.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.
- ✓Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
