About the Role
Regional Offices serve as the primary means through which the Board and General Counsel engage with the public and carry out the majority of the Agency's case handling and public service responsibilities. The position has responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating the activities of the region, including delegated authority and responsibility for various phases in processing cases arising under the NLRA, as amended in conformity with regulations and procedures promulgated thereunder.
What You'll Do
- →Manages all aspects of charges alleging Unfair Labor Practices and Notices of Hearing, including issuance and service of, or refusal to issue a complaint, subject to the right of the charging party to appeal to the General Counsel.
- →Investigates representation petitions filed and negotiates consent and stipulated election agreements between and among the various parties regarding jurisdiction, the appropriate unit and the time, place and date of election.
- →Monitors and evaluates programs and work practices to optimize efficiencies and prevent mismanagement and instill public trust.
- →Uses information technology effectively to accomplish the Agency's mission; effectively supports the President's and Agency's initiatives to make government more efficient and effective.
- →Incumbent engages in effective outreach with customers and stakeholders as appropriate; communicates the Agency's mission, policies, and programs with parties, the labor-management bar, oversight agencies, the public, and other stakeholders, as appropriate.
