About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Equestrian Center, Air Force Academy, Colorado. This position does not include benefits. .
What You'll Do
- →Operates vehicles and equipment including but not limited to tractors, UTV's, trucks, livestock trailers, dump truck, skid steer and other types of farm vehicles, trailers, and equipment as necessary.
- →Drive trucks and farm vehicles to move grain, hay, bedding, and other supplies to and from various barns and storage areas.
- →Safely utilizes tractors and skid steer using appropriate implements to clean corrals, load manure into spreader, dump truck and/or dump trailer.
- →Empty truck or trailer in designated areas.
- →Safely loads/unloads and moves hay bales, pallets of feed and bedding, and other supplies.
- →Performs daily maintenance inspections and minor maintenance on tractors, vehicles, and equipment.
- →Reports Equipment needs to EC Management.
- →Makes minor repairs to fences and facility.
- →Performs maintenance and cleaning checks on tractors, trailers, and farm equipment.
- →Proficient in hitching procedures.
- →Effectively performs minor maintenance on other items as required.
- →As required, replaces internal engine components, ie: rings, pistons, valves, gaskets, rods and bearings according to manufacturer's specifications when required.
- →Checks all equipment for loose components and ensures it properly works before renting to a customer.
- →Changes oil, spark plugs, filters, belts as required.
Requirements
- ✓Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
- ✓You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
- ✓It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
