Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Program Management Operations Directorate, Infrastructure located in Washington, D.C. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →In this position, you will manage complex real property acquisition, leasing, utilization, and disposal activities for the U.S.
- →Border Patrol's (USBP) infrastructure portfolio.
- →Effective stewardship and execution of these real estate actions ensure USBP has the facilities and land rights needed to support mission operations and long-term border security requirements.
- →This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

- →As a Realty Specialist, you will be responsible for performing expert real property acquisition, management, and disposal work in support of the U.S.
- →Border Patrol's mission and infrastructure requirements.
- →Typical duties will include: Implementing USBP's land management objectives, including acquisition of land rights, and providing non-supervisory guidance and direction to realty specialists and contractors to perform tasks and actions that support agency priorities in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), GSA guidelines, and applicable law.
- →Initiating, preparing, and reviewing real property transaction documentation for property management including ownership, leases, permits, and license agreements.
- →Supporting project teams in acquiring necessary land rights for construction and related program-level efforts, including database and case file management, process and policy development and implementation, and compiling information for required reports.
- →Performing acquisition, management, and disposal of real property, for real property supporting new construction projects.
