You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the COMMANDING OFFICER, COMPLIANCE AND QUALITY DEPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
What You'll Do
- →You will read, interpret, and understand blueprints and specifications to identify product characteristics and process requirements and determine tolerances and limits of product or process characteristics from technical data.
- →You will identify known process failure modes, process risks and mitigations, and determine appropriate in-process inspection and test points to verify conformity and manage risk.
- →You will observe task sequence, procedures, and methods to verify alignment to the process plan and technical requirements, and verify usage and effectiveness of required and/or authorized facilities, equipment, and tooling.
- →You will review work documents prior to release, and upon completion of work to verify all processing and documentation requirements have been fully executed.
- →You will respond promptly to production requests to complete Quality Verification tasks, and operate electronic inspection or test equipment and software to test product or check test results to verify conformance.
- →You will facilitate audits of processes and programs within the assigned area, including Manufacturing Proficiency Audit (MPA) and Aviation Maintenance Inspection (AMI) 2nd party audits.
Requirements
- ✓In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position.
- ✓OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position.
