Positions advertised are in various organizations at Ames Research Center. NASA may fill positions in any of the following grade levels listed in this announcement (GS-2210 at the GS-11/12/13/14 levels).
What You'll Do
- →Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised.
- →Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
- →Perform administration of servers, operational workstations, virtual machines, and network devices supporting facility operations.
- →Implement and track cybersecurity compliance activities.
- →Troubleshoot IT and facility system connectivity issues Manage configuration baselines, inventories, and documentation for systems supporting test operations.
- →Coordinate IT work with Unitary Plan Wind Tunnel, the Arc Jet Complex, the Vertical Motion Simulator, FutureFlight Central, and other thermal/fluids/flight management operations teams and contractors to ensure minimal interruption to test campaigns.
- →Advise management and engineers on IT risks, modernization options, and operational impacts.
- →Safely work in dynamic operational environments which may contain multiple hazards such as hazardous energy systems.
