As an Engineering Technician, you will be an integral member of the team responsible for performing propulsion test activities at Stennis Space Center. Your skills will be highly utilized to fabricate, install, activate and operate technical systems necessary for the successful achievement of the goals of the Center, NASA and our commercial partners. Positions advertised are in various organizations and grade levels at Stennis Space Center.
What You'll Do
- →Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised.
- →Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
- →Perform fabrication, installation, activation, and operation of mechanical and electrical systems supporting propulsion test operations at Stennis Space Center (SSC).
- →Independently operate test systems and equipment to support assigned activities.
- →Identify technical issues and implement solutions to maintain system functionality and test readiness.
- →Coordinate fabrication and operational activities across disciplines to meet project and schedule requirements.
- →Execute work instructions and adapt procedures to support complex test system operations.
- →For supervisory positions, you will perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
Requirements
- ✓Basic Requirement: If you are using education completed in the United States to meet the qualification requirements, your degree must have been awarded from a college or university that is accredited by a recognized accrediting organization.

- ✓If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs.
- ✓These education credentials must be deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
