As an Engineering Technician, you will be an integral member of the team responsible for performing propulsion test activities at Stennis Space Center. Your skills will be highly utilized to fabricate, install, activate and operate technical systems necessary for the successful achievement of the goals of the Center, NASA and our commercial partners. Positions advertised are in various organizations and grade levels at Stennis Space Center.
What You'll Do
- →Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised.
- →Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
- →Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
- →Plan and coordinate technical work activities for assigned systems or facilities supporting propulsion test operations at Stennis Space Center (SSC).
- →Develop work documentation and procedures for technicians to execute fabrication, maintenance, and operational tasks.
- →Coordinate system outages and maintenance activities to minimize impacts to facility operations and test schedules.
- →Collaborate with engineering staff to resolve complex technical issues and ensure system readiness.
- →Provide technical oversight to ensure work is performed in accordance with requirements, procedures, and safety standards.
