Joining the Secret Service, Office of Field Operations, Criminal Investigative Division, will allow you to carry out administrative and legal duties related to seizure of properties, distribute forfeited funds to appropriate law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders; and adjudicate petitions for the remission or mitigation of forfeited assets. What You'll Do
- →The selectee will serve as a Property Management Specialist in the Office of Field Operations, Criminal Investigative Division.
- →Typical work assignments include: Providing guidance and instructions regarding the implementation of Federal property regulations, directives, and initiatives related to the receipt, identification, classification, accountability, utilization, maintenance, inventory, temporary storage, record keeping, reports, and disposal of accountable and personal property.
- →Conducting system analysis to identify deficiencies, recommending corrective actions and researching to determine the feasibility of identifying or designing new automated system upgrades and/or modifications.
- →Reviewing reports for currency, accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements.
- →Managing and tracking seized property; providing recommendations on property management strategies and communicating information to stakeholders.
- →Applying for this exciting opportunity will allow you to support Secret Service's investigative mission by ensuing accountability and efficiency in asset forfeiture operations.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship is required.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service If selected for this position, you will be required to: Obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Tier 5 clearance.
