About the Role
About the Position: This position is part of the Reemployed Annuitants Cadre, in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). On an as-needed basis, employees occupying these positions provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the United States. This is a temporary appointment not to exceed 1-year. At management's discretion, the appointment may be extended for up to a maximum of 3-years or converted to a term appointment for up to a maximum of 6-years.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as Senior Program Manager providing management and operational control over assigned programs.
- →Apply expert knowledge of effective management principles and practices in conjunction with policies, regulations, and procedures.
- →Manage a variety of natural disaster and emergency programs and projects critical to the execution of the mission.
- →Coordinate and integrate broad programs undertaken by the agency at numerous locations under diverse conditions.
- →Develop standard methods and procedures to be used throughout the agency in managing natural disasters and emergency projects and funds.
- →Initiate corrective actions in coordination with the agency and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other customers.
- →Represent the agency in planning and review conferences with customers to ascertain operational requirements and future plans.
- →Develop and submit budgets for natural disasters and emergency projects for the agency.
