About the Role
This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, San Carlos Irrigation Project in Coolidge, Arizona. The incumbent exercises delegated authority to carry out program functions and services that constitute the essential purpose of the Power Division of the San Carlos Irrigation Project.
What You'll Do
- →As Program Manager (Power Manager), GS-0340, your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to: Protect, conserve, rehabilitate, utilize and manage Power Program resources in compliance with applicable statutes, regulations and policies.
- →Provide Power Division oversight for several work groups including operations, finance, procurement, safety, and facility management.
- →Plan and direct management of power for Tribal and non-Tribal electric utility customers living both on and off reservation.
- →Promote and encourage PL 93-638 contracting and compacting by reviewing all Tribal proposals within timeframes dictated by law and regulation.
- →Follow all regulatory requirements for leases and rights of ways which includes timelines for letter notices, supporting documentation, and review and approval before the established regulatory deadlines.
- →Establish and adhere to an annual budget for the SCIP Power Division consistent with BIA requirements.
