About the Role
This position is part of the Office of Management, Department of Energy. As a Program Manager, you will provide direct and responsive support to the immediate offices of the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Energy, ensuring the seamless provision of a wide array of critical administrative services while developing enterprise-wide policy and strategic frameworks that serve as authoritative models for all DOE components.

- →Veterans shape the future of energy As a Program Manager (Director), you will: Provide executive-level leadership and strategic direction for multiple Working Capital Fund (WCF) business lines, establishing priorities, and ensuring operational efficiency and fiscal stewardship through effective program execution and resource allocation.
- →Direct all financial management activities for assigned business lines, including budget formulation, execution, and performance monitoring for funds exceeding $14 million, with broad discretionary authority to optimize mission outcomes and ensure fiscal accountability.
- →Direct program evaluations and analyses across various functional domains, providing authoritative briefings and recommendations to senior executives, and spearheading mission-critical transformations.
- →Lead a multidisciplinary team, exercising full supervisory authority over workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, employee development, and disciplinary actions, while promoting a high-performance work environment.
- →Develop, approve, and implement policies, standards, and procedural changes with broad organizational impact, ensuring compliance with federal laws, regulations, and internal controls governing financial management.
- →Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders in negotiating pricing, resolving significant program issues, and advising senior leadership on strategic direction.
