What You'll Do
- →As a PROGRAM MANAGER at the GS-0340-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as a Program Manager for department-level services to plan, coordinate, integrate, implement, and evaluate the use of acquisition programs in the broad area of Chemical and Biological Defense.
- →Employs technical knowledge, methods and techniques to identify, propose, and implement solutions to management problems associated with difficult and unprecedented research and development (R&D) programs.
- →Works with interdisciplinary teams to assess and define technical requirements, resolve critical acquisition problems, and ensure accomplishment of scientific and technical program goals.
- →Coordinates with Department leadership to establish objectives for acquisition/procurement of R&D, identifies and evaluates alternatives for achieving those objectives, and generates and reviews program and project acquisition plans.
- →Routinely provides substantive written and verbal guidance to Science and Technology Managers and Research Portfolio Leads within the Department.
