About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Uniforms Operations Section, 1 vacancy in the following location: Washington, DC This announcement will be open for 5 business days OR until the first 100 applications have been received, whichever happens first.

What You'll Do

  • This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
  • The Uniforms Management Center (UMC) ensures CBP law enforcement personnel have cost effective uniforms and uniform gear and responsibly delivers CBP uniform lifecycle management, mission-enabling uniform solutions, and services that increase agent and officer safety to ensure a dependable, professional image in support of the CBP mission.
  • As a Program Manager, typical work assignment may include: Planning, organizing, directing, and executing a uniform supply system that is financially accountable, cost effective, and provides timely delivery of quality uniforms and uniform gear.
  • Reviewing projects, reports, and group and individual performance for consistency with policies, compliance with procedures and regulations; technical adequacy; timeliness; effective use of resources; proper sequencing of events, and progress toward achieving established goals.
  • Overseeing the administration of the uniform program and uniform items on the uniform contract to include the change management process, procurement and acquisition activities, and monitoring vendor performance.
  • Interpreting the results and performance of the organization's programs, projects, and operations; and directing development of action plans and recommendations around findings.
  • Administering various aspects of the uniform program to include quality assurance, program initiatives, vendor performance, data analysis, maintaining various systems to include the Specification Document Tool, the uniform change management tool, and the Non-Website Ordering tool.

Requirements
