Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Program Management Operations Directorate, Infrastructure in Tucson, AZ. What You'll Do
- →In this position, you will oversee the planning and execution of construction and maintenance of the border's physical infrastructure and technology to support the U.S.
- →Border Patrol mission.
- →Through analysis and evaluation of major management aspects of mission-oriented programs and development of long-range plans, criteria, and solutions, this position directly influences the effectiveness of DHS programs and the accomplishment of principal DHS mission goals and objectives.
- →This position starts at a salary of $108,455.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $140,994.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

- →As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of program management, analytical, and leadership duties in support of border infrastructure and technology programs.
- →Typical duties will include: Managing the construction, deployment, and maintenance of border infrastructure and technology projects using standard program management processes, tools, and quantitative performance analysis.
- →Leading the planning, organization, coordination, control, and evaluation of major border infrastructure and technology projects, including project management, operational availability analysis, configuration and change management, and asset management.
- →Serving as a subject-matter expert (SME) providing technical expertise in project management, team building, facilitation, and process improvement, and collaborating with CBP and DHS program offices to improve end-to-end processes.
- →Overseeing organizational and program changes by structuring program segments, allocating and distributing funds, and administering effective utilization of resources to meet mission needs.
- →Developing and maintaining internal controls, performance measures, and improvement initiatives to prevent fraud, waste, and misuse of resources, enhance cost-effectiveness, and align program operations with mission objectives.
