Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Program Management Operations Directorate, Infrastructure in the following locations: Del Rio, TX (1) El Paso, TX (2) Laredo, TX (1) Rio Grande City, TX (1) Tucson, AZ (1) Washington, D.C. (3) Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →In this position, you will lead the planning, acquisition, deployment, and sustainment of border infrastructure and technology projects to deliver integrated solutions in support of U.S.
- →Border Patrol operations.
- →The position directly advances the CBP and USBP mission by providing analyses and program oversight that shape major policy and resource decisions, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of border infrastructure and technology programs across PMOD and service-wide operations.
- →This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →Salary listed reflects the Rest of U.S.
- →(RUS) scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection.
- →As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex border infrastructure and technology programs to ensure effective planning, execution, and continuous improvement in support of U.S.
- →Border Patrol.
- →Typical duties will include: Planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling, and evaluating PMOD programs and projects for the construction, deployment, and maintenance of border infrastructure and technology on behalf of USBP.
- →Directing PMOD activities, including project management, technology deployment, acquisition activities, configuration and change management, and asset management.
- →Overseeing the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of PMOD program activities and projects, including developing and substantiating business cases within established budgets and timeframes.
- →Providing leadership as a project leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop and improve management processes and methods, lead cross-organizational teams, and recommend solutions to complex program and management issues.
- →Developing and implementing methods, internal controls, and process improvements to enhance quality, reduce costs, manage resources as corporate assets, and ensure appropriate safeguards against fraud, waste, and misuse in accordance with the Federal Managers' Integrity Act.
