The Specialty Care Program Analyst position is in the Office of the Chief, Medicine Service, at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center / Station 586 in Jackson, MS. The incumbent serves as the primary coordinator (ADPAC) and Medicine Service program analyst, providing expert leadership in clinical informatics, business process analysis, and performance improvement related to Medicine's use of Vista/CPRS and other clinical and administrative information systems.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include: Provide daily reports on monitoring trends involved with encounters, notes and consults along with monthly reports on metrics for presentation by management.
- →Serves as a Representative on committees in support to outpatient and clinic administration related performance Measures to provide reports on activities.
- →Evaluate reports to determine trends, studies productivity levels, staff to work ratio, etc.
- →Use web-based and internal platforms to extract data for reports relating to Veteran Support Service Center (VSSC), Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning (SAIL), Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS), etc.
- →Develop procedures and systems designed to prevent waste, loss, unauthorized use, and misappropriation of assets.
- →Provide recommendations for improvement or corrective actions for modification of practices ensuring accuracy of data.
- →Serve as an approving official to Medicine Service and as an acting Administrative Officer during absence and leave.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, subject to change based on the needs of the facility.
