Serves as the Veterans Equitable Resource Allocation (VERA) Coordinator. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the implementation, monitoring, and auditing of workload and cost data for the medical center and its stakeholders. Ensures accurate reporting by serving as the primary liaison between the medical center and national Allocation Resource Center contacts, verifying that all VERA data is correctly captured.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include but aren't limited to: Management and Analysis The incumbent serves as the VERA Coordinator, managing the program for assigned medical centers by monitoring trends, identifying key revenue sources, and providing data analysis to optimize VERA funding.
- →This includes evaluating past, current, and projected workload to determine financial impacts within the three-year VERA funding cycle and ensuring accurate workload data through close coordination with medical center services.
- →The incumbent advises senior leadership on VERA program implementation and compliance, conducts special studies and cost analyses, and performs audits involving sensitive information.
- →They develop and maintain databases that support benchmarking and reporting, translating complex data into actionable management information for stakeholders.
- →Reports and analyses are produced accurately and on schedule.
- →The role also involves coordinating data and special projects with medical center staff and working closely with Health Information Management to resolve discrepancies and address risk areas.
- →Clinical and Administrative Education Identifying data required for use in the management and direction of programs.
- →Developing new or modified administrative program policies, regulations, goals, or objectives.
- →Performs clinical or administrative training on areas of improvement based on the analysis performed within VERA.
- →Training is to be provided as needed in a group or one on one setting and will address specific areas of concern.
- →Basic VERA training will be provided to staff as requested Communicate factual and procedural information, orally, and in writing, to the appropriate senior manager, Board, Committee, or Service by preparing briefing materials, graphs, reports, cost analysis, and correspondence.
- →Management of VERA Program Serves as a member of facility specific workgroups, committees, boards, councils, etc. providing VERA reporting updates on facility audits and data that have been performed.
- →Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports for utilizing multiple programs and data sources.
- →Reports are to be completed on Inpatient and Outpatient workload.
