About the Role

This position serves as a Program Analyst within a division of the Quality and Performance Directorate of Integrated External Networks under the Office of Integrated Veteran Care (IVC) Program Office. As a Program Analyst in an IVC, IEN, Quality and Performance division, the incumbent conducts transformational quality reviews, monitors effectiveness, and efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Takes the lead in organizing and conducting performance improvement efforts based on program performance and process improvement principles, methods, and tools such as Lean government and Six Sigma.
  • Modifies standard Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to fit into the health care environment in general and the organizational change management already underway in IEN, in particular.
  • Demonstrates creativity and flexibility in the integration of innovative program performance improvement methodologies within existing organizational change management efforts.
  • In this capacity, leads performance specific improvement efforts and trains various stakeholders on data systems monitoring and quality improvements.
  • Conducts studies based on data analysis and advanced analytics to optimize quality, safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in automated health care systems.
  • Develops statistical, graphical, and narrative reports and communicates findings from these studies to IVC Executive Leadership, IEN, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Provides consultative support to management, identifying effective process measures and monitors for quality- and performance-improvement opportunities based on a variety of studies, audits, and data analysis.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert working to improve program effectiveness and efficiencies by helping identify the most appropriate measures and monitors to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Work Schedule: Mon- Fri 8am-4:30pm (flexible) Compressed/Flexible: At the discretion of supervisor Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
