About the Role
You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the INFORMATION WARFARE PROGRAMS, REQUIREMENTS AND CAPABILITIES DIRECTORATE, PROGRAMS DIVISION of NAVAL INFORMATION FORCES.
What You'll Do
- →You will develop, analyze, prioritize, and manage worldwide Navy requirements for the meteorology and oceanography (METOC) related programs, SME experience not required; however, Navy METOC familiarity is a plus.
- →You will manage programs in the N8 directorate, specifically those related to the specialized networks supporting precise time and time interval, astrometry and earth orientation and other areas as directed.
- →You will participate in planning for future requirements and capabilities for both the near term (1-2 years) and long term (3 years and beyond).
- →You will develop requirements and planning documents to translate capability gaps in Fleet capability into executable actions for the OPNAV sponsor and associated Program Executive Office.
- →You will develop or prepare inputs into concepts of operations (CONOPS), operational requirements documents or other publications as required, as well as evaluate proposals for changes to capabilities and systems.
- →You will prepare briefings, white papers and other correspondence at the Flag Officer/SES level on any topic regarding the requirements process or prioritization results.
- →You will lead coordination and collaboration of inputs for assessments and mitigations of gaps for operations and maintenance of Precise Time and Astrometry (PTA) Networks functionality and future capability enhancements.
- →You will develop criteria to identify major programs requiring significant Fleet headquarters and other command attention and actions to ensure successful introduction into the operational forces.
- →You will coordinate with USNO leadership and managers to maintain current understanding of USNO network capability and needs while acting as an advisor to NAVIFOR leadership on PTA and Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) network related issues.
- →You will support command EEO policies and procedures in working with other civilian, military, and contractor personnel.
