THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Program Analyst, Position Description Number D1905000 and is part of the Georgia Army National Guard, Marietta, Georgia. This is a full-time, Excepted Permanent, dual status position which requires Georgia Army National Guard Membership. Area of Consideration: Current on-board Technicians in the Georgia Army National Guard.
What You'll Do
- →As a Program Analyst, GS-0343-09, you will: Develop sampling plans and procedures for validating unit/activity accountability and inventory certifications.
- →Independently evaluate the effectiveness of substantive unit programs and processes in meeting their established goals and objectives.
- →Analyze evaluation results on both a quantitative and qualitative basis to provide concise and objective information to identify accountability strengths and weaknesses.
- →Develop recommendations to correct deficiencies or suggest program or process improvements for the organization.
- →Plan and design procedures to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
- →Evaluate unit and organizational effectiveness.
- →Develop and administer a system of reviews, management controls, evaluations, and checklists designed to ensure conformance with law and regulations.
- →The employee plans, coordinates, and carries out the successive steps in fact-finding and analysis of issues necessary to complete each phase of assigned projects.
- →Using standardized and locally developed evaluation programs and processes, management principles, organizational theory, and techniques of analysis and evaluation, plans and accomplishes scheduled evaluations.
- →Analytical methods contained in applicable regulations and guidelines are not always applicable to specific work; Incumbent adapts methods to meet needs of the specific situation.
- →Collectively evaluate management effectiveness of property management functions and informing management of their programs.
- →Coordinate and/or conduct management studies of organization, staffing, work measurement, methods, or procedures.
- →Incumbent reviews administrative audits, Financial Liability Investigation for Property Loss (FLIPL) reports, and Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) review reports to determine accountability trends to develop scope of review and recommendations to improve accountability processes and corrective actions.
- →Monitor all unit standardization/evaluation type programs ensuring adherence to all requirements defined in Department of the Army (DA), National Guard Bureau (NGB), and local publications or other applicable directives.
Requirements
- ✓Substitution of Education for specialized experience: A maximum of 12 months of the required experience may be substituted by successful completion of undergraduate study in an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester hours for 12 months of experience.
- ✓The education must have been in fields directly related to the type of the work of the position.
