The Secretariat for Special Operations is organized within the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW), Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict (OASW(SO/LIC)). The incumbent of this position supports the entire Secretariat for Special Operations (SSO) towards meeting these Congressional objectives, including but not limited to staffing and human resource policies.
What You'll Do
- →Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Provides acquisition program analysis and oversight for complex special operations-peculiar weapons systems, equipment, and services supporting USSOCOM mission requirements.
- →Evaluates acquisition program performance related to cost, schedule, and mission effectiveness and develops recommendations for senior leadership.
- →Develops and integrates acquisition policies, strategies, and resource plans supporting acquisition lifecycle management and PPBE activities.
- →Advises senior leadership on acquisition policy, program management, budgeting, contracting, and strategic planning matters.
- →Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to support acquisition initiatives, program oversight, and implementation of defense acquisition policies and procedures.
