About the Role

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the DIRECTOR, MARITIME OPERATIONS (N04) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

What You'll Do

  • You will plan, program and prioritize a balanced approach to warfighting capabilities development to meet Fleet and Navy Component Command demands while ensuring capabilities coming to maturity are fully supported for operations in the Fleet.
  • You will serve as the point of contact for tracking acquisition capabilities testing/evaluation process and key milestones for introduction of new capabilities to the Fleet.
  • You will develop criteria to identify major programs requiring significant fleet headquarters and subordinate command attention to ensure successful introduction in the operating forces.
  • You will establish and maintain formal methods to track and provide consolidated recommendations to higher headquarters and other navy stakeholders in capabilities development and fleet introduction.
  • You will coordinate with USFF and TYCOMs and other subordinate commands focused on situational awareness of TYCOM processes.
  • You will work with various stakeholders to develop and train with supporting platforms, capabilities and tactics to assure global maritime services to the warfighter.
  • You will investigate and uncover challenges or vulnerabilities to generate solutions to questions not yet posed, seeking ways to boost interoperability between warfare domains.
  • You will prepare estimates, operational concepts, and operational plans and coordinate with various commands to gather critical inputs representing theater campaign plans, security cooperation programs, and warfighting and Title 10 requirements.
  • You will serve as the primary advocate for MSC equities in the development and implementation of advance technologies and concepts into the Navy and Joint logistics forces.
  • You will present ideas and concepts on a monthly basis as part of the Force Development (FD) battle rhythm meetings, providing options and recommendations to help address a wide range of operational challenges.
  • You will plan work, set and adjust priorities, assign and evaluate work and provide counsel or instruction to the employees on both work and administrative matters.
