About the Position: This position is assigned to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy (DASD (MC&FP), Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness (USD (P&R)). This position may be eligible for situational telework as determined by the agency policy.
What You'll Do
- →The incumbent serves as a program analyst for MCFP within the Office of Spouse Employment (OSE) focused on spouse education and career policies for the military spouse community.
- →Provide oversight of existing policy governing military spouse education and employment.
- →Focus on the identification, development, deployment and maintenance of a variety of policy initiatives as well as general communications outreach related to the well-being of military families Deal with complex issues to respond to the needs of service members and their families by mitigating institutional barriers in policies that create barriers to employment for military spouses.
- →Coordinate with other DoD components and federal agencies to coordinate, adjudicate, and align policy initiatives.
- →Conduct special assignments on complex high-priority issues.
