About the Role
You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the Waterfront Operations Department Small Craft and IDIQ Division of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
What You'll Do
- →You will coordinate, schedule and administer assigned orderly work list preparation, screening, specification preparation, invitation to bid, contractor inspection, bid opening, and award.
- →You will be responsible for the planning and execution of various types of ship repair availability work, on any class of naval vessel.
- →You will direct proper progressing and monitoring of all work to anticipate, prevent, and minimize delays.
- →You will resolve problems that affect the end cost, quality, schedule and performance of the assigned availability or contract.
- →You will obtain, control and be accountable for customer funds to ensure that sufficient funds are available to cover all assigned availabilities and obligations.
- →You will serve as pre-production Advance Planning Manager and as pre-production and execution Project Manager of assigned availabilities in a ship repair environment.
- →You will conduct surveillance of contracted ship repair work within the Hampton Roads area.
