What You'll Do
- →Maintains an equipment maintenance database that covers a wide range of complex equipment with various maintenance needs, including robotics, programmable logic controllers, automated guided vehicles, and materials handling equipment (MHE).
- →Opens work orders for preventative and unscheduled maintenance, enters completed work orders, and ensures that work orders are completed properly.
- →Schedules internal work requests based on workflow, command interest, skills, materials, and trades required to accomplish the requests; accounts for safety of personnel and equipment.
- →Adjusts work maintenance schedules to ensure productivity and account for available labor, critical equipment downtime, parts availability, internal work requests, and preventative maintenance backlog.
- →Utilizes knowledge of shop equipment, tools, and operating equipment maintenance practices to make recommendations to shop supervisors, increase shop productivity, and correct problems that arise.
Requirements
- ✓As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions cover by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to work of the position.

- ✓If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
