About the Role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Production Controller (Aircraft), Position Description Number D1064000 and is part of the Army Aviation Support Facility #1, Winder, Georgia. This is a full-time, Excepted Permanent, dual status position which requires Georgia Army National Guard Membership. Area of Consideration: Current on-board Technicians in the Georgia Army National Guard.
What You'll Do
- →As a Production Controller (Aircraft), GS-1152-09, you will: Analyze allocated Flying Hour Program (FHP).
- →Develop plans to optimize execution of flying hours with available resources to satisfy operational and training requirements of the AASF and supported units.
- →Consider Additional Flight Training Periods (AFTP), Multiple and Unit Training Assemblies, Annual Training periods, Mobilization Planning and Training Exercises, and State Emergency Operations in the distribution of aircraft and aircraft hours.
- →Develop schedules of aircraft and hours to be flown to satisfy the AASF operational aircraft requirements.
- →Recommend priorities for use of aircraft based on operational mission requirements and projected short and long-term maintenance requirements and AASF capabilities.
- →Analyze supported Aviation units' logistics capabilities and training requirements.
- →Develop plans to improve technical proficiency of unit personnel and includes them in the AASF logistics efforts.
- →Develop integrated workload schedules and priorities to balance operational and training flying requirements and logistics capabilities.
- →Program scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements, manpower capabilities and capacities, facilities, repair parts, AASF and Unit operations to meet short and long-term maintenance workloads.
- →Maintain a regular flow of work through the shops.
- →Develop maintenance plans to maximize AASF services to maintain aircraft readiness.
- →Project short and long term maintenance requirements.
- →Identify full-time support and unit personnel capacities and capabilities, annual training schedules, tool and diagnostic test equipment requirements, repair parts, and facilities needed to satisfy operational and training flight requirements.
- →Serve as contact point between the Logistics Manager/Supervisory Maintenance Test Pilot and work centers.
Requirements
- ✓If you are using Education to qualify for this position: A maximum of 12 months of the required experience may be substituted by successful completion of undergraduate study in an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester hours for 12 months of experience.
- ✓The education must have been in fields directly related to Production Control.
- ✓You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims.
- ✓To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
