About the Role

The Cincinnati VHA Medical Center is seeking a Quality Management Consultant RN in Primary Care Service. The RN has position responsibilities that demonstrate experience, and creative approaches to improvement in quality-of-care outcomes. They will be responsible for the documented outcomes at the program level.The 2-page Resume requirement does not apply to this occupational series.   • Major duties may include but not limited too: Demonstrates performance that improves the care for a group of patients.

  • Demonstrate program level outcomes at any organizational level within a department and/or facility.
  • Program is defined as a substantial coordinated group of activities impacting patients and/or employees.
  • Responsible for their assigned quality management program area activities for the Medical Center and all off-site locations.
  • Collects data, monitors staff compliance with relevant policies, directives, and standards, and provides reports detailing trends.
  • Provides direct staff support to all services in planning, designing, integrating, implementing, modifying, and administering, a comprehensive quality management program area.
  • Participates in facility councils, committees, and workgroups.
  • Preferred Experience: MSN Primary Care Experience Quality Manager Experience 2 years progressive leadership Supervisory Controls: The incumbent is responsible to the assigned rating and approving supervisors and is accountable to the Chief of Quality Management.
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements

  • Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

  • Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
  • You may be required to serve a probationary period.
