About the Role
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. As a Presidential Library Director, at one of the following libraries: Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library, William J Clinton Presidential Library, and Dwight Eisenhower Presidential Library, you will report to the Director for the Office of Presidential Libraries. Incumbent is responsible for leadership, policy and program development, program accountability, budget formulation and strategic planning for the library.
What You'll Do
- →Set policy for the operation of the Library's archives and artifacts, encourage use of materials and care and conservation of the collection.
- →Maintain liaison and develop cooperative working relationships with academic, cultural and non-profit organizations to develop joint programs related to the holdings of the library.
- →Maintain close working relationship with the former President's family and serves as primary NARA interface with the Foundation and/or Institute.
Requirements
- ✓The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
- ✓One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
- ✓To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.
- ✓Must complete a 1-year SL probationary period, unless previously completed.
- ✓Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- ✓If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form i-9.
- ✓Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
- ✓Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
- ✓You may be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- ✓Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- ✓Must complete a SL Personnel Financial Disclosure Report annually.
