About the Role
The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a Podiatrist (Surgery Rearfoot). The Podiatrist (Surgery Rearfoot) will function in Surgical Service.
What You'll Do
- →VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
- →Clinical podiatry providers duties: Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to adult patients with acute, chronic, and complex pedal problems.
- →Ordering and providing preliminary interpretation of appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic modalities.
- →Outpatient clinical procedures including Surgical and chemical nail procedures, soft tissue procedures (including Incision/biopsy soft tissue lesions, repair of simple lacerations, I&D-localized abscess, ulcer debridement), Foreign body removal (superficial/subcutaneous) and non-surgical treatment of tendons and non-displaced fractures of the foot and ankle.
- →Privileges also include supervision, teaching, and involvement of medical students, trainees, residents, and fellows in the same setting.
- →Rearfoot Surgery Specific Duties: Admit, evaluate, diagnose, provide consultation and surgically treat patients Surgical procedures of Rearfoot including: Soft tissue of foot -surgical nail procedures, tendon repair/augmentation.
- →Soft tissue foot and ankle -laceration repair, biopsy, removal of foreign body, scar revision, skin grafts/flaps, excision of neuroma/soft tissue mass Amputations -I&Ds, Digital, metatarsal, midfoot Bone -arthroplasty/arthrodesis, Osteotomy, excision of sesamoid/ossicle/exostosis, Fracture repair, coalition, dislocations.
- →Work schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday (On-call expectations will include weekends, holidays and evenings) Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements
