About the Role
Position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services Program Office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

- →The Podiatrist provides quality patient care in collaboration with other health care professionals.
- →The incumbent will perform specific duties within his/her approved scope of practice and must be able to give authoritative views and opinions on subjects in their field of medicine.
- →Podiatrists treat such common conditions as bunions, corns and calluses, and ingrown toenails.
- →Staff Medical Podiatrists perform office-based procedures and generally work a set 40-hour per week schedule.
- →Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provides comprehensive podiatric care consisting of assessment and evaluation, diagnosis, development of a treatment plan, referrals and consultations when deemed necessary, and coordination of aftercare services.
- →Responsible for the coordination of a multidisciplinary team in the above activities.
- →Perform history and physical examinations, evaluate all podiatric problems and to find the appropriate therapeutic approach.
- →Routinely review imaging studies and a range of clinical laboratory tests.
- →Assesses patients podiatric condition.
- →Coordinates the development of a treatment plan.
Requirements

- ✓Effective May 7, 2025, driver's licenses or state-issued identification cards that are not REAL ID compliant cannot be utilized as an acceptable form of identification for employment.
- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical evaluation.
- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
- ✓You may be required to serve a probationary period.
