About the Role
VA North Texas Health Care System is actively recruiting for an Associate Chief of Staff for Ambulatory Care who will be responsible of the overall operation of Primary Care (including Women's Health and Tele-Health), Employee Occupational Health, Blind/Low Vision, and Compensation & Pension Unit. What You'll Do
- →This is an Open Continuous Announcement & will remain open until May 20, 2027, or until all positions are filled.
- →The first cut-off date is June 01, 2027.

- →ACOS/Ambulatory Care include, but are not limited to: Reviews/performs/provides duties and responsibilities of a primary care physician/internist.
- →Exercises administrative, programmatic, clinical, and academic oversight of Ambulatory Care and programs to ensure delivery of quality services.
- →Demonstrates leadership in interpreting and supporting the VISN mission, vision and values, while operating in accordance with Veterans Health Administration (VHA) policies, facility and VISN policies, and standards of federal professional and accrediting agencies external to VHA.
- →Adheres to the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations as set forth by the medical staff.
- →Provides direction and support to Ambulatory Care staff regarding equipment technology, policies and procedures employed by VA North Texas Health Care System.
- →Ensures that all applicable requirements of regulatory agencies such as The Joint Commission are met.
- →Reviews quality control and quality improvement procedures performed by VA personnel in the Primary Care, Home Tele-health and Women Health Primary Care Service Line and makes recommendations for improvements, corrective actions, etc.
- →Participates/reviews and documents performance improvement activities, including, but not limited to, external review programs, internal peer review programs, and accreditation requirements.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
