What You'll Do
- →The Department of Surgery, Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, New York is recruiting for a Vascular Surgeon.
- →This positions support the Network 2 Mission to care for our Veterans with compassion and excellence and are responsible for providing direct patient care and surgery as well as teaching and resident supervision within the General Surgery Section of the Department of Surgery.
- →Duties and responsibilities are carried out throughout the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Albany, New York.
- →The incumbent follows established guidelines, ethics, and policies and protocols of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Stratton VA Medical Center and the profession and functions as a cooperative and collegial team member with the entire staff.

- →Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Authorized: This position is eligible for EDRP, a student loan payment reimbursement program.

- →Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

- →Participates in and manages all aspects of Vascular Surgery practice consistent with her or her training and experience.
- →This encompasses all areas of Vascular Surgery.
- →Perform surgery and provide pre-op and post-op care as indicated for major and minor procedures, as well as consultation for inpatients and outpatients.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
