About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
What You'll Do
- →**This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until September 25th, 2026.
- →The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be Monday, May 25th, 2026 with subsequent cut-off dates every 2 weeks.
- →Eligible applications received after that date will be accepted on an ongoing basis and qualified candidates will be considered as vacancies become available.** VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.

- →Provider is expected to document into CPRS in a timely manner, participate in Process Improvement/Quality Assurance projects and participate in usual Medical Staff activity including committee participation Administrative duties are related to clinical activities pertaining to managing a panel of patients' health care, including preventative, ambulatory acute, and chronic disease management.
- →Provider is expected to maintain Joint Commission readiness.
- →Our Primary Care Physician (PCP) functions as a team provider in shared workflow with a multidisciplinary Patient-Aligned Care Team (PACT a medical home model), assigned to provide comprehensive, collaborative same day and continuity care to an assigned panel of Veterans as well as to patients outside of the assigned panel when Veteran care indicates a need for such.
- →Medical care is delivered in accordance with current clinical practice guidelines with attention to prevention via utilization of evidence-based clinical decision-making tools.
- →In addition to the provision of high-quality medical care, PACT Physicians demonstrate excellence in customer service via compassionate and informed interpersonal relationships with Veterans, family members and staff.
- →Major duties include, but are not limited to: Provide direct patient care to include, but are not limited to history and physicals, medication management, evaluation of diagnostic tests and treatment planning, clinical reminder completion as applicable.
- →Function as a leader in the PACT approach in the delivery of care, which emphasizes a team-based approach to healthcare.
- →Oversee PACTs compliance to MyHealtheVet.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.
- ✓Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process.
- ✓Acceptable form(s) of identification will be required to complete pre-employment requirements (https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-acceptable-documents).
- ✓Effective May 7, 2025, driver's licenses or state-issued dentification cards that are not REAL ID compliant cannot be utilized as an acceptable form of identification for employment.
- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).

- ✓Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine.
