About the Role
The Physician Facility Pain Management, Opioid Safety, and Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PMOP) Coordinator is assigned to the Physical Medicine and Rehab Service at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center located in Martinsburg West Virginia. The PMOP Coordinator supports the Facility Pain POC/Clinical Leads in the coordination of pain management, opioid safety, and prescription drug monitoring program-related initiatives and implementation of VHA and Joint Commission standards.

- →Functions as a Pain and Opioid Safety subject matter expert during PACT case presentations and staff meetings.
- →Assists in compiling VISN, facility, site and community pain resources that can assist PACT pain care management.
- →Works closely with Primary Care, pain specialty and facility leadership to facilitate roadmap implementation.
- →Serves as a liaison to PACT for information around national initiatives and tools (Stepped Care for Opioid Use Disorder Train the Trainer (SCOUTT) initiative , CARA mandates, opioid safety, and facility pain teams.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
