About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

- →Join a dedicated team of 18 radiologists, including 3 other full-time Interventional Radiologists, 6 Interventional Radiology technologists, and 7 Interventional Radiology Registered Nurses.

- →General diagnostic coverage may include general STAT x-rays, general ultrasound, body CT, and body MRI.
- →This position will not be asked to cover Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology, or MSK MRI/ CT/ US.
- →The interventional radiology team performs a large spectrum of image-guided procedures, including Y-90 therapy, prostate artery embolization, vertebral augmentation, and endovascular management of peripheral arterial disease.
- →The IR service is engaged in multidisciplinary discourse at the facility's weekly Vascular conference, Genitourinary tumor board, and Liver/ GI tumor board.
- →Collaboration with leading specialists in the fields of oncology, hepatology, hepatobiliary surgery, and vascular surgery is highly encouraged.
- →The department has an affiliation with the UC Irvine Radiology residency program, with 2.0 FTE interventional radiology residents/ fellows and afterhours resident call coverage.
- →The position has a faculty appointment at the University of California, Irvine, with teaching opportunities.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
